At the helm is Chef Petter Nyström, a Swedish-born chef with 25+ years in the Nordic restaurant scene. From his early days in the South of Sweden to shaping Holzweiler Platz in Oslo, Petter has always pushed boundaries. After a decade of calling Lisbon his second home, opening Familjen here felt inevitable.

Rooted in Nordic culinary philosophy yet infused with global flavors, Familjen is a place without rules—just big, bold dishes we love to eat, shared with the people we love. Our kitchen thrives on spices, depth, and contrast, where heat meets acidity, umami meets brightness, and richness is balanced with freshness. We source peak-season produce from Portugal’s best farms and suppliers, always with a touch of Nordic influence.
